We are looking for an experienced Class Teacher as part of our expansion of the school. The teacher would be the main teacher of the class delivering the Cambridge International Primary English, Mathematics and Science, as well as the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) Units of Learning. In addition, the teacher would be supporting the students’ literacy development in ICT and Library.
This position is for someone who enjoys working closely with others in a small school environment and who celebrates collaboration with others in the planning, teaching and learning and assessment processes. As a member of a small community school, the teacher is expected to actively contribute to improvements and growth of the school and its different programmes and initiatives.

Experience:
- A personal educational philosophy that fits the mission and vision of TGI
- Must be a qualified and certified primary/elementary teacher from any recognised university in the world and recognised by the equivalent of the Ministry of Education in their native country, or where the qualification/certification was obtained, subject to approval by CPE
- At least 4 years prior experience working in a local or international school setting, working with students from different cultural backgrounds
- Experience with teaching the UN National Curriculum, the Cambridge International Primary curriculum and/or an inquiry-based programme such as the IPC or PYP
- Experience with meeting the needs of ESL/EAL learners in the mainstream classroom
- Experience in collaborative planning of multidisciplinary thematic units
- Strong believer of differentiation and student-centred approach to learning
- Skilled and adaptable practitioner who knows how to differentiate and vary teaching approaches and strategies to cater to individual needs of children
- Strong believer that a teacher’s role and responsibility include not just the cognitive development of students but also their physical, emotional and social development.
- Has strong people skills and works well with different people in the school community
- Has strong classroom management skills that are centred on cultivating growth-mindset in students
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft or Apple-based softwares and applications, especially if you are a certified Apple Educator or Google Educator who is familiar with designing online learning experiences.
- Great communicator not just with students but also with adults in the community
- Experience with coaching, organising and/or conducting sports and games, out-of-school trips and holiday activities
- Has a genuinely interest and desire to live and work in a culturally-rich and diverse Singapore
Special Note:
- The Grange Institution observes the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices expected of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
- Candidate who has additional experience, certification and qualification in the teaching of English as second/additional language, teaching of additional languages, such as Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish or French, to children, teaching of Music, Art, Coding (including 3D printing, Lego-Robotics) would be considered favourably.
